Let it sew.. let it sew.. let it sew..I started out by making a backpack for my granddaughter. Before long her friends and others hoped for a bag or backpack. God’s timing is perfect. Due to the loss of my long term job and with ample time on my hands, and the 'Lord’s touch' I have been able to pass on many blessings. Since this time I have completed over 28 purses, handbags, tote-bags, or backpacks. I have been in prayer as to Gods will in all of this. Well let me tell you...

Recently a new project has surfaced within the bible study I am connected with. Pastor Greg Barone’s burning zeal and vision to reach the homeless thrives forward. With the generous help of Mr. K Tucker; new sleeping bags were purchased for our last outreach. Not to mention (none of this could be possible) if it were not for the outpouring of love of Jason and Missy Lechuga. They have opened up their warm and comfy home, so the bible study could prevail. Missy’s gift of hospitality shines, she cooks great meals for us each week. What a blessing! I share this out of great admiration for those who are Faithful in Christ.

We have had two outreach projects thus far. All home church members attended and then some. We were able to minister to hundreds of homeless persons within the Denver Metro area. Not just with words but also with works. For Faith Without Works is Dead. The folks we encountered this day received a new sleeping bag, a great meal, water, and a coat or sweater.

The next plan of action is to fill backpacks with essentials. The backpacks are being hand sewn by Donna and others. The material used is a waterproof nylon, 430 D strong. A sturdy and comfortable drawstring will be attached to each pack. The size of the packs will generally be 24” by 20”, but could vary.

On behalf of our home church, I would like to reach out and offer you a chance to help. If you have any items, such as toiletries (unopened- toothpaste, toothbrush, combs, lotions, shampoo, soap, tissue), small bible, inspirational books, coats, colorbooks, colors (for children), flashlight w batteries, gloves, hats, mittens, packaged food (such as snack bars), paper, pens, puzzle books, rain cover, scarfs, socks, sweats, sweaters, tee shirts, even a yo-yo (ok to have fun), men or women's watches, and/or other donation(s) it would be sincerely appreciated (used or new).
